Dear Parents and Guardians,

I am pleased to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you and to welcome your child to my classroom. I have been a part of the Tampa Palms family since January 2005 when I began my Level III internship in a first grade class. I interned in first grade and was offered a wonderful opportunity to start my teaching career in first grade two years ago. I had an incredible two years of teaching last year and look forward to working with you and your child throughout this school year in second grade. 

A good learning experience is built on cooperative effort among the parents, child, and teacher. I have high academic and behavioral standards in my classroom. I will encourage your child to do his or her best everyday. With everyone’s effort, we will have a productive, successful, and enjoyable school year together.

You are welcome to volunteer in all aspects of the classroom. If you are interested in volunteering please let me know what your area of interest is by filling out one of my volunteer sheets. Volunteering can be done on a weekly, bi-weekly, or occasional basis. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Again, welcome! I truly believe that communication between home and school is vital for the development and success of your child.
